Our team worked on this custom home for a few years before it came to life. The kitchen was the heart of this home for the family who’s typical gathering can be over twenty five guests. The ‘wow’ factor was important to these clients so that became our design focus.

Walking into the space you immediately notice the large chandelier and striking backsplash in the kitchen. The cabinets are painted in a soft cream that have a warm and cozy feel. The large hood fan frames a custom pattern and coloured tile that we commissioned locally.

I’ve always believed that powder rooms are the one space in which you can really have some fun. It’s not a room that you spend a significant amount of time within – meaning you don’t need to take it too seriously. The small scale of this room really allows you to play around with bolder applications. We chose a dark paint colour for our wainscoting detail.

Nothing says luxury like an expansive master bathroom. This room was one our team spent many hours making sure was the perfectly laid out space for our clients.

We began with the soaker tub which we framed perfectly under the window. The entire room was tiled with a combination of mosaic and field tiles to create a monochromatic look for the space. The tiles have soft warm grey veining. The floor is a combination of three different sized tiles to add details and dimension. Both the ceiling and floor of the shower mimic this design.

The shower was designed to take advantage of the natural light as well as being incredibly functional for this working couple. The shower is equipped with a steam, hand shower, recessed rain head and heated bench. The vanity was a large piece of custom cabinetry and had many revisions to make sure was the perfect amount of storage. We used a painted cabinet to bring the look together and made sure the makeup area was near the natural light.

Finally for the kid’s bath we wanted to create something the family could mature into. Adding small details like the penny tiles on the vanity, curved details on the tub and sparkle in the countertops gave a more youthful vibe to the space.

Our team enjoyed working on this family home from top to bottom.
